Ring may replace sleep lab for apnea diagnosis
NCT ID NCT04885062
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested a smart ring device (Belun Ring) to see if it can accurately diagnose obstructive sleep apnea at home. 136 adults suspected of having sleep apnea wore the ring during a standard overnight sleep lab test. The ring's results were compared to the lab test to check its accuracy. The goal is to provide a simpler, more comfortable way to diagnose sleep apnea without needing to sleep in a lab.
