First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at 1,400 children having surgery to find the safest way to remove their breathing tube. One method removes the tube while the child is still asleep and replaces it with a different device. The other removes it when the child wakes up. The goal is to see which method causes fewer breathing problems like coughing or low oxygen levels.
