Soft strap aims to tame preemie 'CPAP Belly' and speed up feeding

NCT ID NCT07219784

Summary

This study is testing whether a soft foam strap worn around the belly can help premature babies who need breathing support. The strap, called the NeoBellyBand, may reduce uncomfortable bloating that can interrupt feeding schedules. Researchers will compare 120 infants who wear the band to those receiving standard NICU care to see if it leads to fewer feeding pauses and helps babies reach feeding goals sooner.
