Light vs. electricity: new study seeks best path to heal facial paralysis

NCT ID NCT07266636

Summary

This study aims to find out which non-invasive therapy works better for improving facial movement in people with Bell's palsy: light therapy (photobiomodulation) or electrical stimulation. It will involve 34 adults recently diagnosed with moderate to severe facial weakness. Both therapies will be given alongside standard facial exercises to see which one helps patients recover facial function more effectively.
