First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests if the drug belimumab can help find more compatible donor kidneys for highly sensitized patients waiting for a transplant. About 25 adults will receive a short course of belimumab to see if it improves detection of immune cells that react against donor kidneys. The goal is to safely expand the list of acceptable donors and reduce time on the waiting list.
