First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving one dose of belatacept can safely delay the start of a stronger anti-rejection drug (tacrolimus) in kidney transplant patients whose new kidneys are slow to start working. 67 adults with delayed graft function took part. Researchers tracked how quickly kidneys recovered, and monitored for rejection, infections, and survival over one year.
