Can a spoonful of beetroot powder help tame high blood pressure?
NCT ID NCT07270718
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily dose of beetroot powder can help men with high blood pressure who are already taking medication. Researchers want to see if the natural nitrates in beetroot can improve blood vessel function and further lower blood pressure. The trial will involve 60 men and compare the effects of a one-week course of the powder against continuing with standard medication alone.
