Beetroot juice: a natural heart helper for women after menopause?

NCT ID NCT06598488

Summary

This small study explored whether drinking beetroot juice for a few days could improve heart health in women after menopause. Researchers tested if the juice, which is rich in natural nitrates, could lower blood pressure and help the body use oxygen better during exercise. Fourteen women participated, trying both the beetroot juice and a placebo drink to compare effects.
