First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study explores whether drinking beetroot juice before exercise can help postmenopausal women get more health benefits from their workouts. Beetroot juice is rich in nitrates, which the body turns into nitric oxide to improve blood flow. The study will measure changes in blood pressure, fitness, body composition, and muscle function in 60 women aged 50-70 who are inactive and overweight.
