First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study puts 24 healthy men on 60 days of strict bedrest to mimic the effects of weightlessness in space. Researchers want to see if combining cycling exercise with artificial gravity (using a centrifuge) can prevent muscle loss, bone weakening, and other health problems. The goal is to find better ways to keep astronauts healthy and help people on Earth who are confined to bed.
