New hope for kids battling untreatable TB
NCT ID NCT02354014
Summary
This study aims to see if a drug called bedaquiline is safe and works well for children and teenagers with a hard-to-treat form of tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Researchers will give bedaquiline along with other standard TB drugs to up to 60 participants, from newborns to under 18 years old. The main goals are to check for side effects and to understand how the child's body processes the drug.
