Bed rest debate: shorter recovery after brain surgery?

NCT ID NCT07465861

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at how long patients need to stay in bed after a specific type of skull base surgery. 316 adults will be randomly assigned to different bed rest periods (0, 1, 2, or 3 days) based on the size of their surgical leak. The goal is to see if shorter bed rest is safe and leads to faster recovery without harming the surgical repair.
