First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether encouraging people to take part in enjoyable recreational activities can help them make healthier choices and lower their risk for heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. About 120 adults will first have their health and habits tracked. Then, some will get a 6-month program promoting recreation as a way to replace unhealthy behaviors. The goal is to see if this fun-focused approach improves key health measures like diet, exercise, and blood pressure.
