New drug trial aims to tame dangerous autoimmune attack

Summary
This study is testing whether adding an investigational drug called BDB-001 to standard treatments helps people with active ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) achieve and maintain disease remission. It will involve about 300 adults with this serious autoimmune condition. Researchers will compare outcomes between those receiving BDB-001 plus standard care and those receiving standard care alone to see if the new drug improves control of the disease.
