Summary
This study tested a new ultrasound machine designed to help doctors place IV lines and other vascular access devices. It involved 149 patients, aged 1 and older, who needed an IV placed as part of their hospital care. The goal was to see if the machine could clearly show the target blood vessel and help achieve successful access while monitoring for any safety issues.
