New tech aims to make IV insertion easier and safer
NCT ID NCT06632496
Summary
This study tested a new ultrasound system designed to help nurses and doctors place IV catheters and midline tubes more accurately. It involved 156 hospital patients who needed an IV line placed as part of their normal care. The goal was to see if the system's special needle-tracking feature could safely improve the success rate of getting the IV in the right spot on the first try.
