First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether a single dose of BCAA or L-arginine supplements helps elite soccer players run faster, change direction quickly, and recover after exercise. Twenty-one male players took either BCAA, L-arginine, or a placebo before training. Results showed that BCAA improved short sprints, agility, and heart rate recovery, while L-arginine had no clear benefit.
