Military acupuncture technique tested for millions suffering back pain

This study tested whether a specific type of ear acupuncture, called Battlefield Acupuncture, could help relieve chronic low back pain when used alongside standard electroacupuncture and pain medication. Researchers in Vietnam enrolled 60 adults with long-term back pain caused by spine degeneration. They compared real ear acupuncture to a sham (fake) version to see if it reduced pain scores and the need for pain pills over a 10-day treatment course.
