New shot for diabetic eye swelling takes on lucentis

Summary
This study tests a new drug called BAT5906 against an approved drug (Lucentis) for diabetic macular edema, a condition that causes vision loss. About 406 adults with diabetes will receive either the new drug or Lucentis as eye injections. The main goal is to see if BAT5906 can improve vision as well as Lucentis over 52 weeks.
