Barbershops become health hubs in fight against rural Men's drinking
NCT ID NCT05609344
Summary
This study tests whether a proven counseling program for unhealthy drinking can work when delivered in barbershops, where rural men are more likely to go. It aims to help over 600 men in Arkansas reduce their drinking days and improve mental health by making support more accessible outside of traditional clinics. The goal is to control alcohol-related health risks by bringing care directly into the community.
