New balloon treatment aims to reduce repeat surgeries for dialysis patients

NCT ID NCT03506308

Summary

This study is monitoring the real-world use and safety of an already FDA-approved medical device. The device is a small, drug-coated balloon used to open narrowed blood vessels in the arm that dialysis patients rely on for treatment. Researchers are following 213 patients to see how well the balloon keeps these access points working and how often patients need repeat procedures.
