New balloon device aims to unclog brain arteries and prevent strokes

Summary

This study tests a new balloon microcatheter to treat narrowed brain arteries (intracranial artery stenosis). The device is threaded through blood vessels to widen the blockage and improve blood flow. About 56 adults aged 18-80 with severe narrowing (70% or more) will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the device is safe and effective at reducing stroke risk.
