Talking it out: online group sessions show promise for nurse burnout

Summary

This study tested whether a special type of group discussion, called a Balint group, could help nurses feel less burned out and improve their communication skills. Thirty nurses took part in six weekly online sessions where they talked about challenging interactions with patients. The study measured their burnout and communication skills before, right after, and one and three months later.
