First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a wearable device called Walkasins that may help people with peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage) feel where their feet are on the ground, improving balance and walking. Researchers will compare 200 adults aged 55+ who use the device daily for six months to a control group that does not. The goal is to see if the device reduces falls and improves daily activities.
