New balance training aims to reduce falls for injured warfighters

Summary

This study tests if an advanced balance training program can help warfighters with leg injuries (including amputations) improve how they use their injured limb and reduce stumbles and falls. The study will enroll 40 active duty service members and veterans who are already in standard rehabilitation. Researchers will compare fall rates before and after the training.
