Botox for stiff knee: could it raise your fall risk?
NCT ID NCT07108920
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether Botox injections into the thigh muscle (rectus femoris) to treat stiff knee gait might actually increase the risk of falls. Researchers will measure balance and walking ability in 15 people before and after treatment using simple tests like standing up, walking, and turning. The goal is to find out if the muscle-relaxing effect of Botox could make balance worse, even though it helps with walking stiffness.
