First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested if watching a person you pick (a 'referent') can improve balance in healthy adults. 165 people without balance problems took part. They watched either a self-chosen or a standard video of someone moving, and their balance was measured with a force platform and a reach test. The goal was to see if personal preference makes a difference in how action observation affects balance.
