Laser zaps bad breath: new study tests light therapy against tongue scraping
NCT ID NCT07433816
Summary
This study tested two methods for reducing bad breath in 48 people with confirmed halitosis. One group used a tongue scraper with antiseptic mouthwash, while the other used a tongue scraper plus a special antibacterial laser treatment on the tongue. All participants also had their teeth professionally cleaned, and researchers measured breath compounds and mouth bacteria over 3 months to see which approach worked better.
