First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple backward walking test can reliably measure balance and fall risk in healthy adults aged 65 and older. Researchers will test 87 participants over two days, comparing results between two physical therapists. The goal is to find a better way to identify seniors at risk of falling, which affects up to 46% of those over 85.
