Can walking backwards predict your fall risk?
NCT ID NCT07180030
Summary
This study aims to test a new assessment called the Figure-of-Eight Backward Walking Test to see if it reliably measures balance and fall risk in healthy adults over 65. Researchers will have 87 participants perform the test and other standard balance assessments to compare results. The goal is to gather knowledge to help create better tools for identifying older adults at high risk of falling.
