Could lying on your back longer save your eye transplant?

NCT ID NCT07373821

Summary

This study is testing whether lying flat on your back for 5 days after a specific type of corneal transplant (DMEK) helps the new tissue attach better to the eye compared to lying down for just 1 day. Researchers will enroll 102 people with Fuchs' dystrophy and randomly assign them to either the 1-day or 5-day back-lying group. They will measure how well the transplant sticks, count how many need a follow-up procedure to reattach it, and track side effects like back pain.
