Summary

This study tested two different approaches to help people with ongoing low back pain. Researchers compared hands-on Muscle Energy Techniques performed by a therapist with Pilates exercises that strengthen core muscles. Seventy-two adults with pain lasting 2-3 months participated in sessions four times weekly for six weeks to see which method better reduced pain and improved daily function.
