Study challenges 3-Month sports ban for young Athletes' back pain
NCT ID NCT07430072
Summary
This study is testing a new, more active rehabilitation plan for teenage soccer players diagnosed with a specific, early-stage low back bone stress injury. It aims to see if a guided, symptom-based approach is safe and effective, potentially allowing players to stay more active with their teams instead of taking a full 3-month break from all sports. The researchers will monitor 40 players using MRI scans and pain/function surveys over several months to check for healing and safety.
