New pacemaker technique aims to tame chaotic heartbeats
NCT ID NCT07467031
Summary
This study is testing whether placing a pacemaker wire in a specific area of the heart's upper chamber (Bachmann's bundle) is a practical and effective approach. The goal is to create a more natural heartbeat pattern, which could lower the risk of developing a common irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. Researchers will enroll 200 adults who need a pacemaker to see how often this placement is successful and what factors help it work.
