Blood cell test could predict allergy treatment success

NCT ID NCT06876506

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study aims to develop a blood test that measures B-regulatory cells to see if allergy immunotherapy is working. Researchers will track these cells in 80 adults with pollen or insect venom allergies who are receiving standard allergy shots. Participants will also fill out quality-of-life questionnaires to link cell changes with symptom relief. The goal is to find a simple biomarker that confirms when a patient has developed tolerance to their allergen.
