Summary
This study tested whether the drug AX-8 could reduce coughing in people with long-term, unexplained coughs. Researchers measured cough frequency using digital recording devices in 108 participants over two treatment periods. The goal was to see if AX-8 was safe and more effective than a placebo at controlling cough symptoms.
