Awake ear surgery: new nerve block technique could speed recovery
NCT ID NCT07275450
Summary
This study compares two anesthesia methods for eardrum repair surgery. Researchers want to see if an ultrasound-guided nerve block allows patients to stay awake during surgery and recover faster than traditional general anesthesia. They will measure pain control, recovery time, and patient satisfaction in 128 adults undergoing this procedure.
