First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a new wearable device that records sounds from the blood vessel connection used for dialysis. Six adults on hemodialysis will wear the device weekly for 8 weeks to see if it can detect changes as well as a standard stethoscope. The goal is to find a simpler way to monitor for problems without extra clinic visits.
