Promising combo targets tough skin cancer

Summary
This study tests whether combining the immunotherapy drug avelumab with two types of radiation therapy can help control metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive skin cancer. About 19 adults with advanced disease that has spread will receive the combination treatment. The goal is to see if the approach slows cancer growth and improves survival.
