Summary

This study looks at whether a permanent arteriovenous access (fistula or graft) can be safely used for continuous kidney replacement therapy in ICU patients with end-stage kidney disease. Currently, catheters are used most often, but they raise risks of infection and vein damage. The goal is to create a standard procedure and check if using the permanent access works well and lasts.
