Summary
This study looks at a new way to do liver transplants for people with severe portal hypertension. Instead of using a full-sized liver, doctors will use a smaller piece (small-for-size graft) in an auxiliary transplant, leaving part of the original liver in place. The goal is to see if this method is safer and works as well as the standard transplant. About 396 participants will be followed to compare survival, complications, and whether the high blood pressure in the liver gets better.
