First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new device that draws blood on its own, without a human sticking the needle. Researchers want to see if it works as well as a manual blood draw and is safe. Over 44,000 people aged 16 and older will take part at outpatient blood drawing clinics. The device is not yet approved for use.
