Ear zaps may reveal nerve secrets
NCT ID NCT04130893
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at how stimulating the ear with mild electrical pulses affects the body's automatic functions, like blood flow and temperature. Ten healthy volunteers had their skin temperature measured after ear stimulation. The goal was to understand if precise ear points matter for nerve response, similar to acupuncture. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
