Automatic bed turning may help ICU patients breathe better, small study suggests
NCT ID NCT07087600
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether an automatic bed that gently turns patients from side to side can safely improve breathing in critically ill people on ventilators. Ten adult ICU patients were monitored for changes in lung function and heart safety during the therapy. The goal was to gather initial data on how well the body handles these position changes, not to cure or treat a specific disease.
