Robot-Assisted knots speed up heart valve operations
NCT ID NCT03681834
Summary
This study collected information from 557 patients across multiple hospitals about a device that automatically ties knots during heart valve surgery. The Cor-Knot® device aims to reduce surgery time by speeding up the knot-tying process when attaching artificial valves. Researchers tracked whether patients developed leaks around their new valves to understand if the automated system is safe and effective.
