Can a computer measure heart strain in seconds during surgery?

NCT ID NCT07496424

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether new software can automatically measure heart muscle strain during cardiac surgery as accurately as the current manual method, which takes about 5 minutes. Researchers will enroll 70 adult heart surgery patients and compare the automated results to the manual ones. If successful, this could give doctors faster insights to guide treatment during surgery.
