First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether new software can automatically measure heart muscle strain during heart surgery as accurately as manual methods. The manual method takes about 5 minutes, which is often too slow during surgery. The automated method takes only seconds. The study will enroll 70 adult heart surgery patients to compare the two approaches.
