Navajo families lead the way in autism support study

Summary

This study tests a program where trained Navajo parents teach other Navajo families strategies to support children with autism or developmental delays. About 29 parents will be randomly assigned to start the program right away or after a wait. The goal is to see if the program is useful, increases parents' knowledge and confidence, and helps children improve social communication.
