Eye contact training tested to help hispanic toddlers with autism connect

NCT ID NCT06733584

Summary

This study is testing whether adding specific eye contact strategies to a culturally adapted therapy program helps young Hispanic children with autism improve their social communication and daily living skills. Researchers will compare two versions of the therapy—one with eye contact training and one without—in 200 children aged 18-42 months from low-income Hispanic families. The goal is to see which approach better helps children with social interaction, language, and adaptive behaviors.
