Year-Long autism drug safety trial seeks to tame irritability

Summary
This study aimed to check the long-term safety and side effects of a medication called pimavanserin for children and teens with autism who experience significant irritability. It was a one-year follow-up for 209 participants aged 5 to 17 who had completed a prior shorter trial. The main goal was to see how well patients tolerated the medication over a longer period, while also tracking changes in their irritability and overall improvement.
